By reaching the final in Kitzbühel, the Geneva native is adding another chapter to a story that is turning heads across Switzerland. He had already become the first Swiss player since Roger Federer in 1998 to reach the semifinal of the Junior Australian Open — a comparison that may sound lofty, but one his performances on the ATP Tour are increasingly giving substance to. For Gustavo Heide, however, the tournament ends here. The Brazilian will need to reflect on his display, and particularly on an erratic second serve that proved his undoing in this match.
