Jannik Sinner has completed his Masters tournament title collection in Rome. The South Tyrolean tennis professional, who has been dominant for months, won the final on clay at the Foro Italico against Norwegian Casper Ruud 6-4, 6-4, securing the last trophy still missing from the nine top tournaments.
Sinner also claimed his sixth consecutive Masters title following triumphs in Paris (2025) as well as Indian Wells, Miami, Monte Carlo, and Madrid this year. Five consecutive Masters titles in a row was already unprecedented in tennis history.
At the Italian Open, Sinner continued to tirelessly build his legacy: he secured the tournament victory as the first Italian since Adriano Panatta in 1976. He is also, at 24, the youngest player to have triumphed at all Masters events.
In the Rome final, Sinner won his 29th consecutive match and now shares with Pete Sampras the sixth-longest winning streak of the ATP Tour era (since 1990)—the record in this regard is held by Novak Djokovic with 43 wins (2010/11).
