21st Scudetto sealed: Inter celebrates

Inter Milan have secured the Italian championship early. The Nerazzurri defeated Parma Calcio 2-0 (1-0) on Sunday evening to claim their 21st Scudetto title. With a 12-point lead over SSC Napoli, Inter cannot be caught.

Marcus Thuram scored the opening goal just before halftime (45’+1), and Henrikh Mkhitaryan sealed the victory in the 80th minute.

Under coach Christian Chivu, the Milan side have a chance at their first double since the 2010/11 season – the cup final against Lazio Rome is on May 13.

In the Champions League, the historic club suffered a sensational exit in the round of 16 at the hands of underdogs Bodø/Glimt.
